Wooden Synagogues #galicia
Kenneth Zucker <kenneth.zucker@...>
We saw the wooden synagogue of Rozalimas during a visit to Lithuania three
years ago. We also met through our guide Chaim Bargman a lady who lives in
the house known to have been the home of the Rabbi. She invited us in.That
was particularly moving as my wife's grandfather Yekutiel Zussman Brudno was Rabbi of Rozalimas dying in about 1923. Her father was probably born in that house. There was unfortunately little left of the cemetry.

My father was >from Chodorow, Galicia. I would like to buy the DVD
"The Lost Wooden Synagogues of Eastern Europe," which shows and talks
about the famous synagogue in Chodorow. I only see it on video but I
know it is on DVD.

Marcia Indianer Meyers wanted to know how to purchase the DVD of "The
Lost Wooden Synagogues of Eastern Europe."
I purchased a copy for $29.95 back in 2010 directly >from the S.E.
Wimberly Library at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. I
spoke on the phone with someone >from the administrative office. The
film was produced under the auspices of the Florida Atlantic University
Library with executive producer Albert Barry, a photo journalist and
graphic artist, who traveled to Lithuania and Latvia to film a few surviving
wooden synagogues. The film is narrated by Theodore Bikel. I also have
the video, which had been a gift >from my parents.
