Civil vital records are partially available at familysearch.org website and=
at the town hall in Mateszalka up to this day.
I have made two visit to Mateszalka recently and the cemetery is also in
good shape. The local caretaker, who is 89, lives next door.
There are no burial records - most cemeteries have no such records any more=
However, since it is in a good shape, one would be able to find stones
(The town also has a synagogue which is being restored and has the very
first house with electricity in Hungary (1882, The Schwartz family home)).
We could give you guidance if you shared what you know so far and what you
are looking for.
