Brisker #general

Hi all
In the family they used to refer to my gfather as a "Brisker". This
apparently refers to a
city or region. Can you help me find out what "brisker" means?
TIA

Brisker also means follows of the great Rabbi, Chaim Soloveitchik (I hope
my spelling is correct) >from Brisk. He encouraged a particular style of
Talmudic study within the Lithuanian Yeshiva world.

My Great Uncle is buried in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, NY, BRISKER SOCIETY. He was
from Raczki so I don't know the significance. It must have more than one
meaning.
