Abbreviations on a Ketuba #general

A. Sterlin <as358@...>

I am in possession of a Ketuba >from a family member & am puzzled by the
letters Mem hey vav (with the abbreviation symbol above the hey) which are
written & precedes the groom's name. My Hebrew dictionaries are not very
good with abbreviations, & this abbreviation does not appear on the website
from Princeton Univ. (I don't have the exact web address handy). Can anyone
tell me what they might signify?

Thank you,

It could be " Morenu Harav", the groome might be a rabbi.

May it be mem-hey-resh = morenu hrav = our teacher, the Rabbi
