Has anyone tried to obtain a Form SS-5 without supplying the applicant's
Social Security Number? If yes, I'd like to know if you were successful,
especially if the person had a common surname. I know you pay for the
search even if it yields no results, so I'd like to have some sense of the
Social Security Administration's track record before deciding whether it is
fruitful to try this approach.
