An emporium is a retail center, often a department store. A floorwalker

A floorwalker is a sort of supervisor in a department store--he/she walks
around assisting customers, making sure the salesclerks are doing their jobs,
and, perhaps, approving special charges or deliveries.

The Emporium was a large, beautiful department store in downtown San
Francisco, on Market Street, just about opposite the cable-car turn-around.
It closed sometime in the last decade.

A floorwalker was an employee of a store usually the equivalent of a
magazijn whose presence in the sales area was to discourage stealing, but
also was prepared to answer questions about merchandise. The Emporium was
a common name for what we in the USA refer to as department stores or in
your teminology a magazijn, pakhuis, warenhuis
