how to get info on a foundation? #general
cpspier <cpspier@...>
Irene (hi!)-- go to your nearest university's development office and ask to
see their foundation directory. (A big library would have that, too--but I don't know about Hawaii.) Sorry, I can't remember the name of the beast, but it has all the information you want. What it probably won't tell you is whether the foundation is proactive or reactive--some prefer to define their own giving patterns and some like to get bright ideas >from outside. York, NY phone 212 620-4230. They have information on all sorts of foundations, principally I think to help people in applyhing for grants. I remember going down there a number of years ago and they are still in the phone book. Paul Silverstone Irene Newhouse wrote:

PEIERLS & found references to 2 foundations as donors to various causes: The Peierls Foundation, Inc. & the Jeff Peierls Foundation. I'd very much like to know the history of these foundations. None of the references included addresses. Can anyone recommend a resource on private foundations? Thanks in advance! Irene Newhouse Kihei HI
