Chronicles of the Jewish community Fuerth 1933-1943 #general
Willie Glaser
In 1943 the last secrecetary of the Jewish community in Fuerth, Miss Grete
Ballin was ordered by the Gestapo Nuernberg-Fuerth to compile a record of events in the community covering the years 1933-1943. The "Ballin chronicles" are the only known existing records of the "Isrealitische Kultusgemeinde Fuerth" of that era. In 1943 Miss Grete Ballin perished in the Holocaust. I have translated this work and it is published on Gerhard Jochem's web site: http://home.t-online.de/home/320043754386-0005/ballin01.htm Willie Glaser St. Laurent Quebec, Canada

Would be you or perhaps other Genners explain differences between: "ordinary mixed marriages", "privileged mixed marriages" and "Geltungsjuden". I understand those are classifications established by the racist Nuremberg laws. But I am confused as to the meaning. Thanks Alexander Sharon Calgary, Ab
