Researching my extended family, I just found a woman who had three
children. None of them married, but each had one or two children by
different partners. I was told the men's names, and each child has his
I would like suggestions on how to enter this in my FTM.
I entered each man's name as a spouse (the only choice) and then added a
note in the scrapbook that they weren't married. But, is there a better way
to enter these children in the FTM?

Using FTM V16 (similar options in earlier versions) -- in Family View, select the
individual, and then go to "People/Edit Marriage". You will see a selection window
for "Friends/Married/Other/Partners/Private/Single/Unknown". The default is
"Married", but you can choose whichever option you think fits the situation
