There is a large Duran Family in Santa Fe County, NM; US. They claim ancestry
back to the 1600s. There is some evidence that they had some Jewish ancestry.

Yes I am aware of these Santa Fe DURAN. Many years ago I contacted one of
them. They all are Christians but in fact crypto-Jews. They fled >from Mexico
northwards >from the time the Inquisition was instituted there by the end of
the 16th century. They finally settled in New Mexico. Some DURAN converted
back to Judaism.
