My relative went >from what was then Poland and now Belarus to visit the United
States sometime after 1924, probably in the early 1930's. I would like to find his
US entry record in order to learn where he lived prior to the Holocaust. Where
should I search for the forms?

Tonight, April 19, marks the start of the State of Israel's 62nd birthday. I wish all
Israelis and lovers of Israel, wherever they may be, a very joyous Independence Day

Passenger lists for vessels arriving in US ports were created and preserved through
the early to mid-1950s and are in the same place as the once >from 1924 and before
- the US National Archives and its Branch Archives, on microfilm. They are not yet,
however, part of an on-line collection, unless one of the commercial services has
digitized them. The lists for the Port of New York are indexed through the late
1940s, but those are on microfilm in the US National Archives and its branches.

I suspect your best bet is to ask someone who has ready access to Archives
microfilms check the indexes for your people.
