Having a Jewish-sounding name doesn't necessarily mean that you are Jewish.

If this woman believes that she may be Jewish, the only sure way to
confirm (or disprove) this is through proper research of her ancestry.

A female friend born in Cuba has the given name of "Yitzell." To me,
this sounds like a feminine form of Yitzhak.

She believes she may be Jewish, but no one in her family can confirm
this and none of her relatives knows what Yitzll means or how she came
by it.

Any ideas would be appreciaated.
