Looking for a location in Israel #general

krothstein

Hello,
My father-in-law had a shoe manufacturing business in Israel in the late
1950's. I have the name of the business and address but cannot locate where
it was. The street doesn't show up any longer. Can any of our brilliant
researchers give me a hand with this? It is a piece of my wife's heritage
that she would like to revisit the next time in Israel next year. The name
of the business is Beit Melacha Lena'alayim and the address was 56 Rehov
Selma Tel Aviv. My wife thinks it was actually in Yafo >from her memory as a
child. Please feel free to reply to me privately. Your assistance would be
greatly appreciated.
Regards and Thank You

Ken,

Funny, my in-laws had a factory on the same street.

In Hebrew it's called Shalma Street, but most people call it by what I
think is the name in Arabic: Salameh. It's in south Tel Aviv, and if
you google Shalma Street, Tel Aviv, a map will come up.

It used to be a rundown industrial area, but I think it's becoming
gentrified.

I hope that helps.
