Yitzchak LAZAROV- Yeshivat Torat Chaim-Jerusalem 1901 #rabbinic

Yonatan Ben-Ari

Further to my posting regarding information about a Londoner.
Yitzchak LAZAROV who married my great great grandmother Gitel
ABRAMOWITZ: According to my family sources , LAZAROV was a major
benefactor of Yeshivat Torat Chaim in Jerusalem and the Yeshiva
collapsed financially in 1901. Shortly afterwards LAZAROV passed away
in Jerusalem.

I would be interested to know if the above LAZAROV has any connection
to the Jewelry family in New Haven, Ct. where my above ancestress
landed and lived when she emigrated >from Europe to the USA during the
latter years of the 19th century.

Hope this makes my previous postings a bit clearer.

2 corrections to my postings regarding Yizchak LAZAROV who married my
great great grandmother.

Firstly I was referring to him when I wrote in parenthesis "widow or
divorcee" , should have written "widower or divorced".

Secondly, Yeshivat Torat Chaim in Jerusalem did not collapse in1901
but came out with an international donation campaign that year due to
afinancial crisis , but the yeshiva continued for years afterwards.

Sorry for the errors.
