looking for the family of Maurice Hirschowitz / Hirsch #southafrica

Moshe Schaeffer

I am looking for the family of
Maurice Hirschowitz - was born in 1876 in Russia. He died on
18 Jan 1955 in South Africa. He married Sarah Yules on 19 Dec 1899 in
New Briggate Synagogue, Leeds. Sarah was the daughter
of Abraham Isaac Yules and Jane Hirschberg. She was born in
1877 in Russia [1, 2]. She died in 1957 in South Africa.

According to 1911 Irish Census,
Maurice Hirsch lived in 82 on Leeson St. Upper (Rathmines &
Rathgar East, Dublin) on April 2, 1911
Maurice was listed on the census as a draper.

NOTE: Somewhere along the line, Maurice shortened his
surname >from Hirschowitz to Hirsch.

Marriage certificate has him listed as Morris Hirschowitz but
he signed it Maurice Hirschowitz

If you know of this family or are related to them could you be in touch
with me I would like to finger out how I am related to him. Or if you
know where he is buried that would also help as then I could get a
picture of his grave and get more info off there. If you have any other
ideas how can learn more about him it would be a big help. Thank you for
your help in this matters.

Some time ago, a friend pointed me to a page on this site that referred to my family. I thought I replied, but have heard nothing from Moshe Schaeffer (who originally asked for information). It may be that he no longer uses your site; however, I am concerned that I simply didn't reply properly...
There are 2 query numbers #296962 &  #617185 that I have seen both from Jan 25th 2016.
My Mother is still alive (87 years old) but it is her Grandparents, Morris & Sarah that are referenced & who lived in Benoni (she lived with them during the War). The name Hirschowitz was shortened to Hirsch after the birth of their first son, Harold, but before the birth of their 2nd son, Leonard. Leonard's youngest daughter is Ysobel Elga (Hirsch) Gang, & I am her eldest daughter.
I am not sure if I am responding in the correct place even now, & if I am, whether I can be of any help; however please feel free to contact me..
Kind regards,
Suzanne (Gang) Kopik
