Mazel Tov! #ukraine

I've very pleased that there is now an organization of scale to handle
research in all of the Ukrainian gubernias. Are there plans to construct an
umbrella web site for the SIG and a unified ALL UKRAINE DATABASE, merging the
data files >from all of the regional research groups?

Similar efforts by the Litvak and Belarus SIGs have been well received and
very useful to researchers.

Is there a member of the sig interested in serving as web master?

Adam,
As one of the organizers of the SIG, I would certainly like to see that
happen. In my own research I have come across possible links to other parts
of the Ukraine that I would very much like to explore. For example, my
grandmother's maiden name was GELSTEIN, >from shtetl Orinin, close to
Kamenetz Podolsk, but I have come across other GELSTEINs--if I remember
correctly, >from Ekaterinoslav and possibly Berdichev and Zhitomir. Would
love to find connections. Jeff

Snip! >Personal<
I am researching Brenner (>from Kamenets
Podolskiy area), Bogoslowsky (>from Stavisht/Kiev/Yekatrinoslav), Waniewski
and Wierscszykiviz >from Bialystok area. My paternal grandmother was
Reb(ecc)a ?. Think her maiden name was Rosenblatt and she came >from
Yekatrinoslav (or Odessa?) area. Paternal grandfather was Abra(ha)m
Bogoslowsky. Brenners were Joseph, son of Nahum, wife Bella-don't know
maiden name.
