Yefim Kogan
Hello Avrami, team,
I think that File Attachments should be permitted here. It is an important feature which is missing from our current groups, and some people can provide links, others cannot.
I also have a question about other SIGs groups. Are they going to use the same tool?
All the best,
Yefim -----Original Message-----

Regarding the consideration of allowing the attachment of TIFF images:
I strongly caution against it. TIFF is one of the larges file formats available. Many are encouraged to scan as a TIFF so that images have all the analog data available at a high file size for future manipulation. A TIFF file will clog your servers as well as slow down email downloads. Anyone familiar with software allowing them to work with a TIFF file should easily be able to convert it to a JPEG and optimize it for an email or web display. Most usergroups only allow the use of JPEG, GIF or PNG, the three files optimized for web display. Stefani Twyford |
