JewishGen Discussion Group #JewishGen Beth Israel Anshei Sfarad - NYC 1922 #general

My grandfather's brother, Marcus Greenspan, was presumably a member of Beth
Israel Anshei Sfarad in NYC because he was presented with an engraved
kiddush cup >from them in 1922. That's how I know the date and the name of
the congregation. In an effort to find out where Marcus and his father are
buried, I would like to know if this congregation still exists, under a
different name probably. I do know that Marcus' father, my
great-grandfather, was buried in New Jersey, even though he lived in NYC,
but no one alive today knows where, or why New Jersey. He died in the early
1950's. Does anyone know why a NYC resident would be buried in New Jersey
at that time, and what would be a likely cemetery to check?

All help greatly appreciated.
