I am sure this question has been asked in the past so forgive me for asking
again. I just received the Social Security Application for a family member
and it is a small, simple application with no great information on it. It
was issued in 1940 and was the first application made out by him. Since he
was born in Russia, I had hoped for more requirements to prove citizenship.
How did the Social Security admin. know he was a citizen? Is there
something else I should had received?
I am very new to Russian/Jewish research, so I appreciate any info you
might be able to supply me with.
Thank you so much.
