I have recently discovered that the maiden surname of one of my
g-g-grandmothers might have been PSINPSIA.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the possible meaning and/or origin
of this extremely unusual surname (I only found six PSINPSIA records
on the entire JRI-Poland database)? Initially, I wondered whether
the name could have been transcribed incorrectly. However, as the
spelling is exactly the same in each of the records, I think this
must represent a fairly faithful rendition of the original surname.
Many thanks in advance - and please respond privately.
