The Edinburgh Jewish community dates >from 1816, and is the oldest in Scotland.
There are around 500-700 Jews in the city.
The only sites of Jewish interest I can think of in Edinburgh are:
The Edinburgh Synagogue in Salisbury Road - dates >from the 1930s
The oldest Jewish cemetery in Scotland in Sciennes House Place
(formerly Braid Place) , in use 1820-1867.
The Jewish section of Newington (Echobank) cemetery dates >from the 1860s.
The current Jewish cemetery is Piershill.
There is a street named after Rabbi Dr Salis Daiches, who led the
congregation pre-WW2 for many years.
