I recently found a Yad Vashem record on my maternal grandmother's
uncle who perished in the Shoah. The record describes Josef NISENBAUM,
born 1875 in Bedzin, Poland. During WWII he and his wife (Chava/Ewa)
lived in Warsaw and he had at least three children, among them the
daughters Martha, Irena, and Khana.
Now, the record is written by his daughter Khana (Hanna?) in Haifa
1956. At this time her family name is FRIEDHAIM (nb - this is my own
transcription >from Hebrew). According to my grandmother's memoir,
Khana got married to a Leon, and together they fled to Eretz Israel.
Does anyone have any idea of how to find possible descendants of Khana
FRIEDHAIM (nee NISENBAUM), my grandmother's lost cousin, who lived in
Haifa in 1956? I have tried the jewishgen family finder.
Moreover, I'm interested in finding the descendants of Khana's sister,
Irena, who married an Israeli diplomat, family name PELED.
I have already found out what happened to Martha above.
