JRI Poland #Poland Re: Other names than those searched #poland

All the AGAD records are expanded indices that include multiple
Surnames. All the Surnames in the index entry are searched when
you perform a Surname search of the JRI-Poland database. There
are no other "hidden" Surnames in an AGAD or any other record
index.

It appears that these names that you think are not part of the
Soundex code are actually included in the Soundex code for the
surname you are searching. There is a JewishGen Infofile that
explains Daitch-Mokotoff Soundex at
http://www.jewishgen.org/InfoFiles/soundex.html.

Hello all,

I've come across several instances where records appear in the
table with family names for which I did not search. These
names
would not be part of the Soundex code for the name I was
searching. These are AGAD records.

Is it possible that the family name I was searching for appears
somewhere on the record but not in what appears on screen?
