Another cause of death question

In this cause of death of Irma FRENKEL (11 Jun 1922 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri), I can only make out certain words: "Impaction" and "high up followed by paralysis of..." Can someone make out the other garbled words?

think it’s impaction with torsion (of the colon) which cuts of blood supply to part of the intestine ollowed by paralysis of bowels.

Barbara is correct. Definitely fatal without rapid & successful surgery.

I too think Barbara is correct. I saw impacted bowels many times with one of my medical social work clients, who fortunately survived.
