Family Tree of the Jewish People

Ellen Barnett Cleary

My go-to place for posting my family tree has been JewishGen.org.

Has this feature of the site ceased to exist?  I don't see a link to it on the home page.  And I can no longer upload my gedcom for it to be updated.

Is this feature a thing of the past or is it coming back....I HOPE it's coming back.

It is not a direct link. From the new Homepage, Go to Search and then to Databases.

From the JewishGen home page,
https://www.jewishgen.org/new/
a click on search takes you to a search form. Above the form are several buttons; click on "databases", FTJP is still there.
However activity seems to be at a standstill. I sent an uppdate of my GedCom last July and it hasn't yet been posted.

Good luck, fingers crossed.

The Family Tree of the Jewish People still exists. With the redesign of the JewishGen home page, it just takes an additional step.

From the home page, click “Search.” The header portion of the search page is similar to the old JewishGen home page. Now click the “Databases” dropdown menu to expose the link to the Family Tree of the Jewish People.

Right, I was able to do a search in FTJP. However, when I attempted to upload a gedcom just now, all that I received for my effort was an error message:

What's up?

Alan, it looks fine to me this morning.

If you are still having trouble you can email your gedcom to; ftjpsubmissions@...

Thank you to everyone who showed me how to find the link to upload my FTJP submission. Unfortunately it seems they are not accepting updates.

Does anyone one know if they plan to accept them in the future and when they might begin to accept them again?
