Can you please help me read this handwriting? #usa

I'm not sure if I'm reading the correct line 17, but here's what I see: Broome St., just above the name Mathes, and below that it looks like "Jerry St" but there is no such street by that name in Manhattan (NYC) so it could be Henry or Cherry Street, both of which exist on the Lower East Side and were Jewish neighborhoods.

The passenger manifest does say the street is in New York, which usually means Manhattan. There is, however, a Gerry Street in Brooklyn.

I get the name Mathes Dornblum for the friend and 139 Gerorg St, N York. It could be the street is Gerry St. which, as one reader suggests, could be Cherry St.

fwiw (for what it's worth).

Friend: Possibly Mattes Dornblum, 139 "Jerry" St. (Jerry may be a
misspelling of Cherry Street on the Lower East Side.)

PS to "Family Genealogist": It would be nice to know who's writing.

It’s a good idea to include the url.   This image will be distorted if someone tries to enlarge it.
