Hi Misha, I am asking for a friend. She says her uncle died of malnutrition. That's all I can tell you for now. Thanks for the cemetery information. I didn't know that the IKG had a hospital. I had relatives who died in a businessman's hospital. If Heinrich Neumann died at 27 in Vienna in 1941 was he hidden and got caught by the SA? was it a crime if he was not deported. What happened?
The data I attach for you show that he died on the 20th May 1941 in the Israelitisches Kultusgemeinde hospital know as the Rotschild Hospital located in Vienna's 18th district at the Währinger Gürtel. It was desroyed after the war.
My great great grand parents died there too in 1909 and 1910 as they had the pandemic Spanish flew.
My father is also buried at TOR 4 and I will go there on November 1st to see him. I will look around for the grave if I don't forget when I am there. regards Misha
Could some kind person please take a photograph of a grave at the Zentralfriedhof for me? Heinrich Neumann born in Lvov in October 1913 died in Vienna in 1941. According to JewishGen JOWBR he is buried in the Gate 4 Jewish cemetery in Grp 21, Row 38, Grave no 46. I am not sure there is a headstone but even if there were not I would like to see a photo of the site please. A friend wants to have Heinrich added to the Shoah Wall in Vienna and is trying to convince the IKG that her uncle was a Shoah victim. Many thanks in advance.
