Hebrew Jargon  - Literally Hebrew, but in actuality Yiddish,
b/c Hebrew was reserved for worship and study of religious text.

I have seen 2 passenger manifests this week which have the words "Hebr Jarg" written in the column for Mother Tongue. What does this mean? Is it a reference to Yiddish?
