Carl Kaplan

I found my great-uncle listed in the Yad Vashem database as serving in the Soviet Army, killed in action, shown below. Where can I look for more information about him, based on his service in the Soviet Army? Thanks in advance.

Isaak Kaplan was born in Minsk, Belorussia (USSR) in 1900 to Osher and Feiga. He was a manager and married to Ana. Prior to WWII he lived in Minsk, Belorussia (USSR). During the war he was in the Soviet armed forces.
Isaak was killed in military service.

KAPLAN Minsk, Belarus
EDELSON, EDINBURG Kovno, Lithuania

Hi Carl,
there are several documents for Isaak, that I was able to find, based on his birth year/city, as well as father's name.  However, the job and the wife's names differ - factory worker and wife's name was Sofiya.
I found several Yad Vashem documents for him, including the one you are quoting "He was a manager and married to Ana."  The manager part is not accurate.  It says "мастер на заводе", which literally translates to "master at a factory", as in craftsman or foreman.  One of the documents below lists him as polisher/grinder - so maybe his job title was master polisher or similar.  The form was filled out by his niece Anna Kaplan of LA, who might the same person who passed away in 2007.
Other Yad Vashem documents refer to 2 evacuation locations.  Let me know if you need to get this info, it should contain family member details
