Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help direct me to obtaining New Jersey Supreme Court records from 1925.
Several years ago, I was told that the parents of a pair of my great-grandparents apparently didn't didn't get along, but no one today knew why. (Most surely don't know that at all.) This pair of great-grandparents eloped in 1926.
Well, I came upon a quick newspaper clip (online) that very likely reveals why the parents weren't too excited by the union--the clip is from the year before and tells that [his dad] was awarded $250 (about $3,700 today) by the New Jersey Supreme Court from [her dad] "for damages as the result of an automobile accident"!
That's all I know. Presuming court records exist, I don't know if it'd be an overwhelming amount of pages, or maybe a page-long summary, or what. Can anyone help direct me?
