Once I have found an original Vital Record eg Birth of an individual what is the best way to capture it so I can then upload it to my FTM tree and also post for translation?
So far I have been taking Screen shots. Is there a better wy to do it>

Try right clicking on the image.  You might get "Save image as".  Click on that and you can save it to your computer.
