Borouchowitz Family, Kovno #lithuania

Michele Lock

For my family from Kovna gubernia, the name Aaron is often in Jewishgen listings as Aron and as Orel (Yiddish nickname for Aaron).

I also second looking for listings for all of Kovna gubernia. I have found in ship manifests and other US records that my family members would say they were from Kovna, when they were actually from smaller towns in the gubernia.

Have you tried the AllLithuania Darabase
On jewishgen.

Try phonetically various spelling of the full name and Borukh.  Kovno and Kaunas and all towns in these Gubernias.

Good luck.
