Hester,
Looks like good research tips at: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Suriname_Jewish_Records "Records at the Family History Library The birth, marriage and death records of the Portuguese and German Jewish Congregations are available on microfilm through the Family History Library. Many of these records are three generational as the mother's father's name is given. Authors Aviva Ben-Ur and Rachel Frankel, have compiled the epitaphs from the headstones of the Jewish people, in theor book Remnant Stones; The Jewish Cemeteries of Suriname."

I can see that some members of a PARRA family were arrested by the Portuguese Inquisition in the early 18th Century. They had come from Murcia in Spain. Don't know if they relate to yours. A bit later someone of that surname from “Martjena” (Sint Maarten near Curacao? Martinique? Somewhere else) was married in Amsterdam. There was also a PARRA family in Jamaica. Watch Aviva Ben-Ur’s talk on Suriname to the Sephardic Genealogical Society. https://www.sephardic.world/sephardic-world Best wishes, David Mendoza, London

Hester de la Parra
Hi, my father and I are seeking your expertise in tracing our family history. Our ancestors were Sephardic Jews who came to Surinam after the Inquisition. Selemoh de Semuel de la Parra and his wife Luna de Campos (1667-1716) and their descendants lived there. We would appreciate any suggestions on finding their parents and grandparents and reconstruct their journey from Iberia to Surinam. The father of Selemoh, Semuel de la Parra, might have been born around 1640, his grandfather could have been a Yaakov / Jahacob de la Parra, residence unknown (perhaps Amsterdam or Spain). We don’t know anything about Luna’s parents. It would be a great assistance if you could provide any kind of information (in German, English, Dutch or French) on how to proceed? Kind regards, Hester de la Parra Den Haag, The Netherlands
