To offer genealogy services in Ukraine #ukraine #general

Vladimir

Dear members of the group,

I offer services in genealogy search:
- research for vital records (birth, marriage, death records in old
church metrical books) in the state archives of Ukraine;
- translations of personal letters, vital records, census records
(from Russian/Ukrainian into English and from English into
Russian/Ukrainian).
Free of charge I can answer your questions about availability of old
metrical books if you know the following parameters: religion, year of
an event you are interested in (birth, death, marriage), town/village,
where your ancestors lived.
For details, contact me privately.
Thank you.

Best regards, Vladimir Kreshchyshyn
researcher, translator
in Kherson, Ukraine.

Max Heffler provided a correct, but apparently unnecessary, solution.

I tested his solution on a note saying “via groups.jewishgen.org” by clicking on the “From” address. I saw the = sign that would need to be replaced by @.

However, when I clicked on the “Reply to Sender” link at the bottom of the same email, the original poster’s email address appeared in the “To” position without any need to change characters.

Lev

Hello Vladimir,

I am looking for the "Cheskis" family record from Korosten, Ukraine. My ggfather Ben-Zion Cheskis passed away in 1937, and his last residence was Korosten, Karla Marksa 9. Unfortunately, I do not know who his father, mother, or sibling was. Any record that can reveal this info is going to help me to go further into the past. If you can check the documents related to Ben-Zion Cheskis, that would be great.

Thanks,
Lev Klibanov

Good afternoon,
My family was from Poswolocheskay and Skalat.  Are there records there to be found concerning these towns.  If so, please let me know and send your fee schedule.  I will send you what I know so far.

Hi Ronald:

Many of the records of both Skalat and Podwoloczyska have been indexed and those indices are online at JRI-Poland and Gesher Galicia. Many of those indices are linked to images placed online by the AGAD Archives.

For any research for towns now in Ukraine but formerly in Galicia, researchers should definitely check out the databases of both JRI-Poland and Gesher Galicia before contacting professional researchers in Ukraine. This makes sense also for towns in Poland.
