U.S. Archivist David S. Ferriero has announced his retirement effective mid-April 2022.  Archivist Ferriero has held this position for 12 years. Deputy Archivist Debra Steidel Wall will serve as Acting Archivist until President Biden nominates and the Senate confirms his successor.
