"History and Geography of Eastern European research records". A virtual presentation by Amy Wachs  sponsored by the Jewish nGenealogical Society of Palm Beach County on February 9, 2022  at 1PM ET.

Researching our Eastern European ancestry remains challenging in many countries, where missing records may lead to frustrating “brick walls”.  This presentation offers guidance in using the region’s historical events and geography to help fill in gaps and move past brick walls. This presentation shows the ways to identify one's ancestors, find the places where they lived, and trace their migrations.

Amy Wachs, past president of the Jewish Genealogy Society of Cleveland, has been involved in Jewish genealogy for over 30 years, including currently serving on the Board of LitvakSIG, Inc. A retired attorney, she taught law in Latvia as a Fulbright Scholar and in Moldova as a Fulbright Senior Specialist. Amy is a frequent presenter of talks on Jewish and Eastern European genealogy.

To register, please go to jgspbc.org and click on Register for February.  You will receive an immediate acknowledgement and a link prior to the presentation on February 9. The meeting is free to JGSPBC members; guests are required to pay a $5 fee, applicable toward the $30.00 annual membership.
