Self-addressed-stamped-envelope for England #unitedkingdom

Moishe Miller

Hello,

I need to be old-fashioned, I am sending a letter (yes, on paper) to an older cousin in the UK. He lives in Leigh-on-Sea. I want to include a SASE (Self-addressed-stamped-envelope) for him to use in his reply.

Does anyone know how much postage is from Leigh-on-Sea to Brooklyn, NY, for 4 pages plus a standard #10 envelope? And, any suggestions about how to get that postage here in Brooklyn?

Thanks,

I do remember when we wanted to get tickets for a Londen venue we had to get an international postage envelope and the only place we found it was at the main post office
In Manhattan.

International Reply Coupons "IRC" were created for that purpose.  However, I'm not certain if USPS continues to sell them.  Check with your local Post Office.
Airmail postage would be GBP 1.70 or GBP 2.55 (the latter if weight is over 20 grams)

Worst case, email me your address and your cousin's address and I'll send him the SASE.

When you know the weight, you can self print a paid address label from the Royal Mail web site. If it's 4 pages I think it'll be more than 20g - I would choose 21-100g, which is only 70p more, to be on the safe side. You can then sellotape the printout to an envelope and it's sorted. I think your rellie then has 3 weeks to send it, which will be 2 weeks once they've received your letter. Here's the link to the RM site: https://www.royalmail.com/price-finder

If the USPS sells this, you can likely buy it from their website. Stamps.com, I think.
