Seeking descendants of a Dr. Rachkovsky or Rotzkovski or Radkovski (or similar) of Haifa #holocaust
fredelfruhman
I am hoping to make contact with the descendants of someone who submitted Pages of Testimony to Yad Vashem.
These pages were submitted, in Hebrew, in the year 1956, by a person living at Rechov Yosef 1 in Haifa. On the Yad Vashem website, the name of the submitter is transcribed from the Hebrew as "Dr. B. Rachkovsky". To me, the second letter of the name looks like it could be a Tzadi, so it might have been something like Rotzkvosky. Or, the second letter might be a Daled, thus Radkovsky? Any leads to descendants of this Dr. B. R____sky of Haifa would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! -- Fredel Fruhman Brooklyn, New York, USA

Focusing on the signature, there is a clear difference between the Dalet of Dr. and the second letter of the name, which seems to me be a Tzadi.
Always important to keep in mind that in the 1950's, people did not necessarily fill the POT forms, they only signed. So, I searched graves.me for Ratskovsky, in Hebrew, in the general area of Haifa. Found a Bertold Ratskovsky And he was a Dr - you can see it on his gravestone. 1B2EB0FE-5403-4E94-9734-ADBC64E78848.jpg (666×888) Wondered if this could lead you further. Are you aware that you can ask Yad VaShem to correct information that was transcribed incorrectly? -- Odeda Zlotnick Jerusalem, Israel.
