Film "Three Minutes—A Lengthening" (1938 Nasielsk, Poland) open this Friday in the U.S. #events #holocaust #poland

The award-winning documentary ‘Three Minutes—A Lengthening’ opens this week in more than 30 theaters around the U.S, with more being added daily. A New York Times "Critic’s Pick," the film is earning outstanding reviews.

Three minutes of a home movie, shot by my grandfather in 1938, are the only known moving images of the Jewish inhabitants of Nasielsk, Poland, before the Holocaust. The film examines those three minutes in detail to unravel the human stories.

Tracing the story begins with the journey of my brother, Glenn Kurtz, author of the highly acclaimed book ‘Three Minutes in Poland,’ (an NPR “Great Read”) to discover more about our grandfather's film.

Directed by Bianca Stigter. Narrated by Helena Bonham Carter and Co-Produced by Steve McQueen.
