I have placed on Viewmate two copies of pages from the Scottish Census of 1891 showing the place of birth of Max Felman and his half-sister Jeanie Felman (ViewMate Image Gallery page https://www.jewishgen.org/ViewMate/viewmateview.asp?key=100094 and https://www.jewishgen.org/ViewMate/full.asp?ID=100110&loc=A&name=100110MaxFelmanin1891Censusshowingplaceofbirth%7E1%2Ejpg ). Although clearly written, I do not recognise the name of the town in Poland stated as the place of birth. My family tradition is that my maternal grandmother, Sarah Yelling, came from Bialystok and the place of birth given for these two members of the Felman family is probably the place where she was born. Her sister, Leah Jedlin (or Jedlick), married Isaac Felman, and Max and Jeanie appear to be related to Isaac. I would be grateful for advice as to the name of the town so that I can search in JRI for information about my grandmother's family. Please respond on the Viewmate page.
