Jacob Kaplan #russia

I have recently found a sibling to my paternal grandfather. The siblings name is Jacob Kaplan. It shows his wife’s name as either KLARA or DORA, Depending on who’s deciphering the handwriting. He was born approximately 1882 as he passed in 1945 at the age of 63. He had three children; Henrietta, Sylvia, and Anna. It shows on his death certificate he was born in Russia, and I can only assume in Starobin as that was where my grandfather was born. Fathers name is ZELIG KAPLAN, and the mothers name is CHASHA REINGOLD. This is the only information I have found to date. Any assistance in verifying this information would be appreciated. Possible marriages: Anna - You might check out the possibility that Hannah Kaplan, who married Howard Rodgers in 1936, was Anna. Parents listed on the marriage record are right -- Jacob Kaplan, Dora Block -- and age is right. Hannah died in 1981 and is buried with Howard and his parents at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Queens, NY. Henrietta - The Social Security record of Henrietta Greenblatt, 28 Sep 1922-6 Mar 1999, daughter of Jacob Kaplan and Dora Bloch, is promising: She and husband Abe are buried in Florida: They may be the same couple listed on the 1950 census with son J. Martin Greenblatt, age 1: And "J. Martin Greenblatt" may well be the Jay M. Greenblatt listed on Been Verified -- with Abe and Henrietta Greenblatt among his likely relatives. Donna, please write me for more details. If all else fails, try calling Beth-El Cemetery, where Jacob is buried, to ask if Dora is buried there as well. Once you have her death date, perhaps you can get her death record, on which one of the daughters may be the informant. Also...
