Trying to Find the Relatives of Yaaqub Moshe Sayegh From Baghdad #sephardic #names

Dear Genners,

Need your help in finding the relatives of Yaaqub Moshi Sayegh who lived in Batawin neighborhood of Baghdad, Iraq in the late 1940s. He was born around the turn of the 20th century and was

probably in business. Batawin was quite a new neighborhood where upper/middle class Jews lived. I did not find his name in the register of 38,000 Baghdadi Jews whose Iraqi nationality was

withdrawn from them because the left to Israel. This makes me to believe that he either stayed in Iraq or left later to  some other destination. In the meantime I found in a list of Jewish businesses

which were damaged in the 1941 pogrom in Baghdad (the Farhud) the name of Haim Moshi Sayegh  who was a jeweler  and had his shop in Souq Al Sarai. He is also absent from the  above

mentioned register. He may be a brother of Yaaqub. He may have also left at a certain stage to some destination in the world. I enclose a screen shot of the document in which Haim  is

mentioned. My inquiries among the Baghdadis in Israel have not produced so far any results.

Thanks
