Looking For Help With A First Name On A Marriage Certificate #names

Carl Kaplan

I found the NYC 1916 Marriage Certificate for my great-uncle, but I am having trouble reading his mother's given name. Hopefully someone with more experience can read it. Looks like her surname was Cohen.

Cohen.  If you look at Abraham, the bride's father's name,  it ends with the same kind of hill and valley letter formation, but the "m" is one bit longer than the "n" .

It looks like Annie to me.

Was Isaac a brother of Hyman Edelson? Hyman's marriage record
shows the same parents -- Ruben Edelson and Anny Cohen.

Technically all the answers are wrong. It’s Anny.

I agree with Diane Jacobs.  It's Annie Cohen.   All the i's elsewhere in the document have the dot for the i at an angle to the right of the upright.  Comparing the other letters to elsewhere on the document it is clearly Annie.
