Could this be your family?  The birthplace is different, but the names align.

On I find a Michael DORN, born September 13th,1886 in Aschaffenburg, Germany.

Bavaria, Germany, World War I Personnel Rosters, 1914-1918
gives his wife's name as Maria HEFSLOR (the surname is hard to read though.)

I also find a Pedro R. DORN, born in Aschaffenburg on August 26th, 1914.
On September 18th, 1959 Pedro R. DORN arrived in New York.  His nationality Venezuelan.
His address Chacaeto, EDF Arta Caracas.

Dear Mercedes,

No part of Bessarabia was under Austro-Hungarian Empire.
That town was in Bukovina, which used to be under Austria, and before that in Moldova Principality.  Currently it is in Chernivtsi Oblast of Ukraine.
Here it is on the Google map:,+Chernivtsi+Oblast,+Ukraine,+59100/@47.9948612,24.990464,11z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x473685808b1f8d09:0x64a51ea10b664a10!8m2!3d47.9949749!4d25.0974541

Here is a few links to that town:

Please connect to ROM-SIG, where Bukovina is part of it, and also to other Czernivtsy Jewish genealogical sites.
