I'm just starting to research my maternal grandfather and his family. His name was Julius Ausbruch and I know he came from Berlin to the Cape Colony, South Africa in the early 1900s. He married my grandmother, Henny Eliasov, in Port Elizabeth in 16 May 1911. I know he was involved in the tobacco trade and at some time became a Turkish citizen because he went to Turkey so often on business.  Julius died on 6 January 1938 in Port Elizabeth. I also know that a brother, Leopold Ausbruch died in Australia at some time but don't know where.  I know all about the South African connection but nothing about the German,Turkish and Australian
