The Story of a Galician Jew in a British Prison During the First World War
Speaker:  Daniella Alyagon

The lecture follows Daniella Alyagon’s dive into documents and archives in order to discover the story behind the time her great-grandfather spent time in a British prison. During the lecture, she will weave together the details into the story of her family and along the way we will be given tools on how to explore the stories that have been passed down from generation to generation in your families.

About the lecturer:  Daniella Alyagon has been researching her family's roots since the family roots project in elementary school. Today, 30 years after she began, she has a stockpile of tools and stories that she shares in lectures and workshops. Daniella's research focuses on Austria, Galicia, Bukovina, Poland, the United States and Israel, among others.
