I seem to be at a dead end. The cousin I knew as JULIUS LASSEN emigrated under the name of LEIB LESZCINSKI and also used the original family name of LISHINSKY. He emigrated on the Ohio leaving Hamburg for Ellis Island and arriving on 07/03/1923. He was born circa 1900 in Korsun, Ukraine. On the manifest is the first and only mention of any siblings---a LEWI LESZOINSKI who resided at 36 Wladimirikava Tcherkassie, Russia. Through research, I know that his father was ISAAC and that he became Julius Lassen marrying Mollie Woron. I have not been able to find any mention of the LEWI referred to nor any other siblings. Julius was at one time a president of the Cherkasser Benevolent Association in New York and mostly lived in Brooklyn altho he lived with my grandfather, Pincus Lishinsky, when first arriving.
