Hello,

I’m looking for a village or a place in Poland that sounds like Mezherigi. I received a response from an archive where it was referred to as “местечко Межериги” (mestechko Mezherigi) in Russian where my ancestors by surname LIBMAN lived. 

Cannot find anything on Google by this name so counting on the help of this community.

JewishGen Gazetteer suggests 182 locations for " Mezherigi".
Reducing it to only Poland, best option seems to be Międzyrzec Podlaski,
previously known as Mezhirech've or just Międzyrzec.

This sounds like it could be Mezhyrich. My paternal grandmother's family, the Mindess family, was from Mezhyrich. There is also a Yizkor book of sorts available, although I understand that the names are not alphabetized.  Israel Zinman, who lives in Israel, was from Mezhyrich. He used to organize annual trips to the region. He also organized the community to put up a Matzevah to those who were killed in the war.

Based on all the helpful responses, it's most likely that Mezherigi referred to is Międzyrzec Podlaski (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mi%C4%99dzyrzec_Podlaski Latin: Meserici, German: Meseritz), based on its proximity to Biała Podlaska where I know my ancestors lived. 

This is as opposed to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mi%C4%99dzyrzecz which is almost exactly on the opposite West side of Poland, where I know of no ancestors. I will keep an open mind though. 

I was initially confused by the reference to "Mezherigi" as "местечко" or little place, but I since learned that "mestechko" is somewhat misleading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miasteczko and is a synonym of shtetl.

I've had other responses indicating that similar sounding places also exist in Ukraine (Межиріччя).

Huge thanks for all the response, I could not have reached this conclusion without the help of this community.

My guess is the town you are looking for is Miedzyrzec Podlaski. I just looked on JRI-Poland and there are a handful of Libmans in Miedzyrzec but there are a ton of Libmans in locations near Miedzyrzec. Look more broadly at Siedlce.
