I descend from the Bellem family of Plymouth. The furthest we can trace is Elijah Bellem, born ~1710. We do not know the origins of this family before England. We stumbled across a Ballin family: https://www.geni.com/people/ Due to the phonetic similarity of the name to Bellem, and some autosomal Ballin matches, we thought there may be a reasonable probability that the Ballins are the ancestors of the Bellems. We know our male Bellem ancestors were in Y-Haplogroup E-M96. If you happen to know of any Ballins' Y-DNA, we would greatly appreciate if you could let us know.
