Jude C. Richter, PhD, Research and reference specialist, Holocaust Survivors and Victims Resource Center, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum 

Jude will speak on the resources available at the USHMM for Holocaust Research. 

If you are engaged in doing Holocaust research for you family, this presentation will be a great intro.

There will be a Q and A after the presentation to ask general questions about using the databases presented.

Jude will speak on the resources available at the USHMM for Holocaust Research. 
  • Learn how researches at the Museum’s Holocaust Survivors and Victims Resource Center search for documentation for survivors, their families, and the families of victims. 
  • This presentation will include an overview of the free reference and research services the Museum provides to the survivors, their families, and the families of victims using the ITS Digital Archive and other resources available at the Museum. 
  • It will also highlight Museum’s Holocaust Survivors and Victims Database (HSV) and provide research strategies so that you can maximize the potential of this unique resource. 
  • The speaker will also provide tips for those who want to navigate Museum collections that are available online but have not yet been indexed and will introduce databases that other institutions have made available online.
There will be a Q and A after the presentation to ask general questions about using the databases presented.
 
Jude C. Richter received his Ph.D. in Russian history from Indiana University.  From 2002 through 2006, he worked for the Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany, conducting research in the collections of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to document survivors’ claims. Since 2006, he has worked for the Museum. He is currently a Research and Reference Specialist in the Museum’s Survivors and Victims Resource Center.
